Friar Antonio Maria Tofanelli, Formation Master for Friars Minor Capuchin of Central Italy, Guardian of the Friary of Spoleto and National Assistant of the Secular Franciscan Order. With a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature, he completed preparatory studies in Psychology at “La Sapienza” University in Rome. A military reserve officer in the Italian army at the Transport and Materials School of the Traffic Control Authority in the Cecchignola military hub in Rome. Musician and assistant director at RAI, he joined the Order in 1993. After completing his studies in Philosophy and Theology at the Theological Institute in Assisi, now a priest he was appointed at the head of the Evangelisation Secretariat and Youth and Vocational Pastoral for Capuchin friars in Umbria, as well as parish priest of the Santuario della Madonna del Belvedere in Città di Castello. After being the Provincial Definitor for 4 years, in 2007 he was elected as the Provincial Minister of the Friars Minor Capuchin in Umbria and after 2 years was appointed as President of the Umbrian Council of Major Superiors. He obtained the Certificate for training Formators at the Salesian Papal University in Rome. In 2009 he was elected President of the Italian Council of Capuchin Provincial Ministers. He is the curator of the South-American Indian Missionary Museum in Amazonia (MUMA) in Assisi. In 2010 he was re-elected as the Provincial Minister. In 2012, he was elected as the President of the Italian coetus and took part in the 84th General Chapter of the Capuchin Friars. Journalist and leader writer, he has been the President of the Frate Indovino Editions for 6 years. He is currently President of the Comunione Mariana charity, which supports life and President of the Organising Committee of Fly for Peace.
